Platform fees explained

See how buyer payment costs and third-party vendor success fees work, including the tiered rates that decline as order value increases.

Reviewed and updated July 4, 2026 by Virteche Global

For ordinary marketplace quote requests, buyers do not pay a separate Virteche marketplace percentage. The buyer evaluates the approved quote total, shipping or logistics charges, taxes, duties, and any clearly shown payment processor fee.

Current buyer payment options are Stripe and PayPal. A lower-cost option for larger B2B invoices is planned for the future. Until then, any Stripe or PayPal processor fee should be reviewed before payment.

For third-party vendor orders, Virteche charges the vendor a success-based marketplace fee only when an order is won. The fee is tiered so small RFQs still cover staff and marketplace work, while larger orders automatically receive lower blended rates.

The vendor marketplace fee supports buyer demand, RFQ handling, quote coordination, order workflow, invoice support, shipment visibility, compliance review, and marketplace operations. For Virteche-owned products, marketplace economics are handled as product margin rather than a third-party vendor success fee.

Buyer payment processor fees

Buyers review the approved quote total and any applicable processor cost before payment. Rates can vary by method, country, currency, card type, and account configuration.

Payment optionPublished reference rateNotes
Stripe online card2.9% + $0.30Standard published U.S. domestic online card rate. International cards, currency conversion, disputes, or other payment methods may add processor costs.
PayPal Checkout3.49% + $0.49Published U.S. PayPal Checkout merchant rate for USD transactions. PayPal may charge different rates for other products, currencies, or cross-border payments.
Lower-cost option for larger invoicesPlannedNot available yet. A lower-cost way to pay larger B2B invoices is planned, to reduce processor costs.

Third-party vendor success fee

The fee is marginal: each rate applies only to the part of the order within that band, with a $15 minimum fee.
